* Shopping List

Well my hand in is complete books have arrived and i have an entire week off. my new solo card just arrived yesterday after i “lost” (stupid story) my old one. Fraud must be a real problem these days as they send them in brown envelopes with a real stamp and a hand written font. So now I’m about to get shopping for some supplies for my week off and try and get as much stuff done as possible for my gallery and unveiling a couple of top secret ideas. So here’s my little shopping list.
1) matches
2) inks
3) medium/corse filler plaster
4) Own-brand Printer refill kit (you get extra ink syringe and alcohol cleaner for a good price!)
5) Cheap house paint brushes (£1 shop)
6) £1 shop toys (for reference… and play)
7) bunch of flowers
Not the most exciting list granted but it’s just the essentials. I need new jeans really and a couple of black tops too but it’s only the Steve Jobs look for me not any thing artistic, maybe i’ll branch out in to real shirts and not tees (getting old now).
Like most people (i think) I’m tempted to change the way I look when I’m not gonna see people for a while. You know the usual stuff, hair cut, diet, change of wardrobe. But I would actually like to get really really fat one time in the shortest time possible, as i think it would be a break from the norm and its probably a lot easier than getting thin. It would be so much easier to change my appearance if i wasn’t curst to be hairy every other place but my face (damn beard growing showoffs!).
Just to let you know the reason inks feature so high on my list is this feller Alex Pardee his works too damn good and his book Awful Homesick arrived a couple of days ago. It’s not too heavy on the words (i’ll actually put the word count later) but shows Pardee’s amazing merging of the macabre, cute and horrifying in a handy hand sized hard back book. so his layering of ink paint and the tight black line work is some thing any illustrator can respect even if you don’t like the content of his mind in page form.
To those regular readers of my blog (I’m not aware of any) sorry for the website keep going down i will pay for a server if it keeps going down eventually. Thanks for reading and thats me off.
