Ok so it’s review time again and i’ll be talking about the Walking Dead a bit and Pro markers. Well first things first, the Walking Dead. If you know me you would know i’ve been a fan of this comic ever since it came out and stayed with it through it’s pretty dark days of it being accused for unnecessary violence, rape and racism (see i even read the letters at the back). But it’s not surprising when our main character Rick has lost his hand and his wife to a HUMAN who had a rather strange relationship with his toothless zombie daughter (hint hint). Where now flirting with the truth about the zombies. which is a chemical weapon that was meant to only target certain people. But naturally it got out, messed up and caused an epidemic. Even though TWD includes every good zombie horror concept the story goes deeper trickling in back story and human emotions. Mainly watching people become unhinged, living in a lawless society how the good can be corrupted in such times and the bad get worse. So i did a quick drawing mainly to test out the pro markers i brought of what i think the story line could of been as a spin. zombie lynx Thats right a terrorist had made an infected deodorant that turns people in to zombies, ay? no? Ok well you come up with a harder hitting idea. I’m just joking! The story line is a lot stronger than your average zombie comic only really using zombies as a catalyst to put people in unusual situations like living in a prison with some convicts one of which was a woman hating serial killer. That was a fair few issues back though. so get down to your library and have a read if your interested.

Well now I feel would be a good time to defend my drawing there and tell you about pro markers. Firstly there not cheap you can get sets which does take the edge off, but if your buying individually go online and save your self some money. Over all I really like them they don’t smell bad and don’t smell good enough to develop a habit either. Have really rich pigments, have a medium opacity and blend really well if you don’t let it dry. One problem i do have is i like using biro’s to shade and sketch which means I can’t go over the biro lines with out it bleeding pretty bad. but maybe i’ll stop using biro’s for a while, i will miss the sticky ink they have though. But overall i enjoyed throwing down blobs of colour and will be getting more pens when i have some more cash. Well that’s probably every thing for now so i’ll leave you with that.
